IB Global Difference Makers Tour - Spain
April 2 - 9, 2016
Join Sra. Burak and Sr. Scalici on a once in a lifetime trip to Madrid and Barcelona with an excursion to El Escorial and Segovia. The 8 day itinerary includes lessons in making tapas and bullfighting, eating traditional Spanish paella, seeing Picasso's "Guernica," watching a flamenco show, touring Barcelona by bike, seeing Gaudí's unique architecture at La Sagrada Familia (check out the video below!) and visiting the Barceloneta beach. Practice your Spanish in authentic settings while buying a picnic lunch in a market (including the famous Mercat de la Boqueria!), eating in local cafés, completing city scavenger hunts and spending a day volunteering at the InOut Hostel, run by a group of special needs adults. You can also earn multiple CAS hours in all 3 areas on the trip, or use your service hours for Key Club, NHS, or la Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica! To view the complete itinerary and sign up, visit www.explorica.com/burak-753.
The total cost includes round trip airfare, all ground transportation, site-seeing tours and site visits, breakfast and dinner daily, and a full-time, multilingual tour guide.
* The next Spanish trip will occur during spring break of 2018. We will be exploring the Andes and Amazon in Ecuador.
